Feeling quite superior at knowing what to do and when to do it, we whizzed through sueh pre- liminaries as enrollment, receiving hooks, reporting to classes and other routine matters. YVC smiled knowingly each time a freshman hlundered into one of our classrooms. VVe felt wise-heyond measurel VVhen hlrs. Brady ealled our first elass meeting we eleeted Earl Oelhafen, President, Ken- neth Hoppe, Vice President: and lfugene Cliinderl Kind. Seeretary and Treasurer. At a later meet- ing we elected Irene Riedel and Norman Perkins as our elass representatives on the Student Council. 'llhe sophomores, with the help of Xlrs. Binder Kind, and Sonny , Hein, were in the Basketball squatl. Norman Perkins. Clyde Stahl, Kenny Anderson. John Hein. Bruce Boyle, Joe Obey, and Bob lfolz were on the boxing team. The sophomore girls' team won the Girls' Basketball Tournament. Our class had four cheerleaders to 1'00t for the local teams in athletic contests. Wie had six people out for forensics, four of whom won places at the league contest. and one of whom won a H. rating at the district con- test at Stevens Point. YVe have a number of students in the Band and in the Glee Clubs, and we add our share of names to the honor roll. YV1-'re proud of our record and if there are any skeletons in our closet we won't talk about 'em. YVe have to tell about our good pointsAfcnough teachers will readily point out the others!
