The ninth grade teach- ers meet once a week to discuss stu- dents' grades. The seventh and eighth grade classes also have teams that do activities to- gether and try to make rules that are the same in all classes. Teachers say that the main purpose of teams are to share information about the unit, meet as groups with parents, make it easier to identify needs, inter- ests, and abilities of team students, al- low for team planning, and to provide a smooth transition from elementary school and high school.
