Various guest speakers contribute knowledge concerning marriage. Mrs. Evelyn Schraufnagel teaches Typewriting l and office practice. Field trips to local businesses give her students the opportunity to see office machines at work. She holds a B.S. from WSU-Whitewater. Preparing for the Bringing students up-to-date in the business world is the primary job of Mr. Harvey Nielsen. He teaches first year typing and book- keeping. Explanation. demonstration. and constant practice are the teaching methods used by Mrs. Helen Carson, Shorthand l teacher. She stresses accuracy and speed. She has a B.S. from WSU-Whitewater. Salesmanship. a new class this year. is taught by Mrs. Irene Fenske. She has a B.S. from WSU-Whitewater and an M.S. from the Universi- ty of Wisconsin. The golf swing is one of the many techniques demon- strated by Miss Margie Lund, girls' physical education teacher and GAA advisor. She earned her B.S. degree at WSU-River Falls and her M.S. from Indiana Universi- ty, Birmingham. Mr. Dave Spies is head football coach, B-squad basketball coach. and assistant track coach. He received his B.S. degree at WSU- Whitewater and his M.S. from the University of Wisconsin. As athletic director, Mr. Earl Gatzke performs a variety of duties such as checking out athletic equipment, arranging the calendar of athletic events, and securing officials, scorekeepers, and timekeep- ers for each event. In addition, he teaches boys' physical education throughout the day. f .
