This is an explanation, a tying up of loose ends, a final wrap up of the year. The cover says, To Tolt With Love taken from the song, To Sir With Love. This year the staff worked hard to put together what we think is the best annual ever—and we've ded- icated it to you. Tolo is an Indian word mean- ing record or diary. In the center, you find two pages of snaps, spotlighting Homecoming Week, sponsored by the cheerleaders. Monday was Bicentennial Day, dress up in your Red White S’ Blue's, Tuesday was Rise-n-Shine day, wear your PJ's to school. Wednesday dress up as a slave. Happy Days was Thursday, grease back your hair and roll up your pants. Friday was Demon Day, Orange and Black was everywhere. The royalty was crowned during halftime. Martha Giusti was crowned Queen, and Bob Dissinger was King. Sr. Prince's and Prin- cess's were Dave Dunham, Leroy Huffman, Sharon Wallace and Jill Stephens. Geri Wink- ler and John Martin represented the Jr. Class, Joy Harvold and Scott Cameron were from the Soph. Class, and Stacy Rosenbach and Tom Clark were from the Freshman Class. The Senior Class finally won the float competition, with two floats, a team spirited one and a Bicentennial one. The A. S. B. Student Council this year (p. 5) was a highly effective body. Wayne Herman was appointed the new Vice- President, after the transfer of Judy Paulsen. For Basketball, the cheerleaders changed around a bit. The new ones were Charlene Herman, Margie Poer, Sheri Enyeart, and Carrie Foster. All the cheerleaders did a great job and deserve a big THANK-YOU. In sports, the Cross-Country team (p. 53) went all the way to state and came home with a 4th place trophy. The track teams (pps.36 and 37) look very strong this year with the underclassmen filling in the ranks. The girls are looking toward their 3rd League Champion- ship title in a row. We had one faculty change since our last deadline. Doug Hall, a first year teacher from Longview, came to replace Mrs. Weglin (p. 73) who remarried and moved to Arizona. Mr. Hall student taught in Belling- ham, where he coached basket- ball. This year was a year of growth for everyone, especially for the Senior Class. Tests were taken and futures considered. The class was under the leadership of Rick Neilson and Sharon Wallace, Secre- tary Margie Drumm and Treasurer Scott Rusch. Advisors Larry Lydan, Dick Gibbs and Jane Byram were always around to help us. The theme of gradua- tion is of yet undecided, but the colors will be Red, White and Blue. This year has been a great one, packed full of fun, laughter and at times, a few tears. We hope that this book will bring back those times and memories for many years to come. - 4
