Text from Pages 1 - 56 of the 1953 volume:

This TOLO is a record of the activities of students during a year at old Tolt high ... the future years will bring new faces and changes to the school scene but there shall be this record to keep alive the memories of the past school year. So let this book be like an old friend you can sit down with . . . and think of people you knew and things you did way, way back in '53. GAIL HJERTOOS, Editor SHARON MAGDLIN, Assistant Editor Merrily we go to school We cannot but reflect that this entrance has seen much since it was erected in 1914 ... youth coming and going ... the minutes of sociabilities before classes . . . school busses, model A's and hot rods depositing boys and girls before its doors . . , yet, though it looks cracked and crumbling with age, it still stands solidly as each school generation passes through.
