Through the instruc- tions given by our diligent teachers in the Homemak- ing Areas, students were able to learn to cook, sew, give first aid, and to care for children. These courses also helped stu- dents to prepare for future positions in life while earning credits. The goal of several of these stu- dents was to learn to be- come a better homemaker for the coming years. Making a woarable garment wasn't such a tedious Job for this student. Future Homemakers of America Sewing garments requires skilled In- struction such as Miss Taylor gives her students.

Tolleston High School has as its chief ad- ministrators Mr. Richard M. Carrabine, Principal; Mr. William P. Swan, Assistant Principal; Mr. W. Roger Snead, Assistant Principal. They are the men whose leader- ship and guidance have enabled this school to be a more worthwhile institution of learning. Each of their positions has subjected Tolleston Students to justified punishment, gratifying congratulations, and the force of leadership necessary for maintaining and building educational skills. They are noted and praised highly for their work at Tolleston. They have given students ideal standards for which they are to strive. Their administra- tion and dedication to the student body have enabled each student’s life to be more pleas- ant. They are also known as men of under- standing and sincerity. Because of their ad- ministration for and dedication to the student body they help students with social and aca- demic problems. They have worked willingly and endlessly with the faculty to improve school facilities, and make our school a bet- ter place to attend. Each of these gentlemen has served as a capable, understanding and very considerate principal of Tolleston School. Through their outstanding ability our school has become one of the most respected and highly rated schools in the city. Spotlight On
