The End Came Too Soon Although the deoth of our beloved President, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, was a cruel, shocking blow to the notion, the student body at Tolleston courageously performed to their utmost ability; ond carried through toward the goals of the New Frontier. Terminating years of hard work, trying situations, ond new experiences, the students of Tolleston High School will remember these times because of the lasting effect they will hove on each of their lives. As we look back on our lives we shall realize how each year ond each new experience serves as a stepping stone to maturity and higher learning. Arriving to school any time between 7:20 ond 11:20 presented a disgusting problem to both students and teachers. Students, however, under the guidance of our principals, Mr. Carrabine and Mr. Swan, coped with this problem ond changed punctuality from a mutual problem to a solution for academic success. The past year was not entirely spent academically. Occasionally social events intervened with the academic functions of Tolleston students. Games, class parties, inductions, ond many other after school activities helped to make the year more pleasant. Now that onother year toward development and maturity at Tolleston High School has elapsed, the future is governed by the hands of fate. We shall leave behind at Tolleston High School another year of wonderful experiences. Someday while reminiscing about high school days, we shall recall this year as one of our most treasured years, and realize with envy that it is Gone With Time. Sadness and gladness, tears and smiles, will be expressed in memories of the past school year. These events will hold fast in our minds, but we will soon realize that they are all Gone With Time. 4
