cienee nfolds Nature as Secrets Chemistry class is always a beehive of activity. Students interested in science can find a varied field of courses ranging from studies of plants and animals on the earth to the elements and chemicals which make up the earth. A good knowledge of science is very essential in this world of nuclear weapons and space missiles. The students at Tolleston real- ize this. Students of chemistry do everything from balancing equations to copying lab books while those in biology study the living side of science. Students interested in physics are able to learn the development of machines and the control of energies that help make our lives easier. Three future chemists work hard on a new exveriment M -y MW Working with grams and kilograms is quite different Biology always proves to be an interesting class. from working with the familiar ounces and pounds.

What The Learn, Students who work in the arts classes apply their knowledge of the academic subjects to construct many useful objects. They are taught the use of power and hand tools in the many shops here at Tolleston and find how to improve their talents in the fine art classes. The arts classes cover a project from the drawing board through to the finished product which may be constructed of either wood, leather, plastic, or metal, or a combination of these materials. Other students learn arts which may be applied to the home, these include sewing, cooking, and home nursing. XX Future dieticians at work.
