This is our school. . .Tolleston School. lt is made up of administrators, teachers, students, office work- ers, ianitors . . . people. lt is made up of the band- room, the portables, the main buildings, the foot- ball tielol, tne baseball diamond . . . places. lt is made up of studies, dances, meetings, games, ex- aminations . . . things. People places, and things . . . a familiar com- bination in any school. But we here at Tolleston feel that our people, places, and things are pretty special. We are proud to say, This is our school. We think of the people of our school. People were a great part of our education. We worked with each other, we competed with each other, we planned with each other. Co-operation was the keyword for get- ting things done, and get things done we did. And each accomplishment added a little bit more to the prestige of our school. Yes, we learned to get along with the other fella. We think of the places of our school. The white beauty of the park in winter. the lime green of spring, the velvet green of summer, and the rich brown of autumn. The football field brings happy thoughts of chill evenings, hot coffee, friendly peo- ple, and the excitement of seeing the Blue Raiders in action. We remember the bandroom and the many sounds echoing from it. The noisy rehearsals and iazz sessions held in the summer over the park, and the long Spring Concert rehearsals can still be remem- bered by those of us who walked past the pavilion on our way home after school. Things there were many. Basically we came to school to get an education. Reading, writing, and arithmetic soon gave way to Shakespeare themes, and trigonometry. We studied hard, knowing that getting an education would be no simple task. The athletic events taught us . . .as well as the players . . . good sportsmanship. We took losses calmly, and wins . . . well, not so calmly. We learned even while we were having fun. Planning a big dance . . . with one band and all . . .was a thrilling challenge, but what fun it was stringing crepe paper, sprinkling glitter, and selling tickets. Another thing accomplished, another thing well done, another thing for us to smile about and say, This is our school. TABLE OF CONTENTS ADMINISTRATION SENIORS. U DERCLASSME ORGANIZATIONS . SPORTS.
