Always Remember This is one of the busiest intersections at Tolloston. 7 Mr. Kline and his talks are always intcrcstinq. Silence is golden, especially when testing. Little thinqs mean a lot to all of us. Lunch at the Dari, athletic games, those baffling tests, and squeezing things unaccountable into five- minute, periods between classes are moments we will always remember. Making good use of the School Lockers arc Ron Hoskins. Donna Uzelak. Ioann Sudrolf. and Richard Jelesky. A state of utter confusion. .? Would you believe that these Sophomores are discussing tho beauties of nature? Time for band. Well, just don't stand there! This is the way we do 1. Our Problems Are The last period of each school day is the hour when students may either study, check out to other classes to make up work, or attend school club meetings. Students may check out three days a week, spend the fourth studying, while the final day is i reserved for Guidance. Because subjects pertinent to the age group are discussed. Guidance plays an essential part in the all-round education of modern day Ameri- can teenagers. Isn't anyone interested? Creative artists aro hard at work. Tighten this and loosen that and you're all sot. 10 m Solved In H A conference is always in order. Being new at Tolleston proved no handicap for our able guidance counselor. Mr. Gray. Tension filled the air as one by one the candidates for Homecoming Queen, Cinda Atchison. Senior; Berna Engle, Sophomore; Pat Novicki, Senior; and Christine George, Freshman, walked to the center of the field. As the announcement came, a hush fell over the field. Cinda Atchison was crowned queen and received her crown of white mums and a bou- quet of red roses. She had won her crown by a popu- larity vote instead of having to sell tickets as candid- ates in the past were required to do. While the band broke in with Let Me Call You Sweetheart, every- one realized that this was the perfect beginning to a ball game. Queen Candidatos: Frosh., C. George: Sr.. C. Atchison; Soph.. B. In order to enable a band to do the very best that it can, it is necessary to have both financial backing and morale boosting. Both these tasks are done by the Band Booster Club, whose members consist of parents of people in the band. To raise money, the club holds an annual cake-walk out on the baseball diamond. Also, during the year, they sponsor raffles. Band Boosters is a club that is really appreciated by the members of the band. Providing tor a band is a big job. Band Booster Officers: Troas.. Mrs. J. Since its organization in 1939, the members have worked closely with our principal and assistant principal to help provide Tolleston with the best possible opportunities and facilities. A major problem facing the P. T. A. this year was the PAS Survey. Their recommendations are sure to be highly considered. Horo wo find our P. T. A. hard at work. 27 Dads' Club Dads' Club Olficers: M. Whether marching in their blue uniforms on the football field or parti- cipating in the regional and state solo and en- semble contests, they will always give a fine performance. The band is extremely active and its members can always look forward to things to do such as performances for the P.
