iBand 'Boosters BAND BOOSTERS Through the many efforts and unfailing loyalty, the Band Boosters strived to help the band in every way possible. At their meetings held the second Tues- day of each month, the members discussed ways and means of contributing worth while services for the betterment of the band. P. T. A. a . a. jl Analyzing the operation of the school, was the main project of the P. T. A. during the school year of 1953-54. Each department was discussed, and informed about the various projects that they are working on. Working co-operatively on these projects the P. T. A. and the school, became a unified body with one common goal, the improvement of Tolleston School. Other plans sponsored by the P. T. A. were the orientation program, workshops, and teacher participation in P. T. A. meeting. Under the auspicious of the president, Mrs. Alvin Wanthal, the P. T. , Icivisory Council ADVISORY COUNCIL The Advisory Council had a member- ship of forty-eight members, and met on the third Tuesday of each month. To raise funds for their annual service of presenting a gift to the graduating seniors, the council sponsored a Bingo party. They also helped sponsor delegates to Girls' State and Boys' State. This year the Council strived to enroll more members to its expanding list.
