Where is the game??' Time out from our academic subjects were sometimes spent in the gym. During the many leisure hours spent here our future stars were developed. Socially, we were offered the many varied school dances. These get-togethers ranged from semi formals to more casual blue-jean affairs. All year round troubles with our cars were taken to the so called, school mechanic. These events, joyous and sorrowful, were put together to make up our most cherished years .... our school life. School JL 6 Find anything? What's tho joke??” 1 'Two Points A good tivo point subject SCHOOL LIFE School life ... . the days never to be forgotten. Exploring our minds, and turning back the pages of our lives, we recall the many exciting football games. Each autumn high school stu- dents are rewarded with this thrill-packed grid- iron sport. Of course, occupying our time all year round were the difficult and tedious studies. In the spring the lawn seemed to be more frequent- ly used for studying than our school library.

(guidance Counselor: Mrs. Mildred Gilpin Homeroom Chairmen HOMEROOM GUIDANCE People soem to believe lhal the «lory of Cinderella is a fairy tale. If they had ovor seen a shy. scrawny freshman enter a school, jumping at every noise, afraid of his own shadow, then to emerge a sonior. walking straight and tall, his head held high, confidence in every step, ho would be sure that this transformation must suroly be magic magic created by the wand of the guidance hour. In September. 1949, the Homeroom Activity hour was introduced at Tolleston School by Principal James W. Standley. He believed this activity-group guidance hour would foster greater individual growth and provide oppor- tunities for life adjustment. The Homeroom Guidance program has resulted in many a transformed Cindorolla. As a result of this pro- gram. a studont learns to locate his assets and weaknesses, and emerge a stronger adult with visions of making his community, his country, and the world a stronger, more democratic place in which to live.
