SCHOOL LIFE Come on boys give me a boost. snapped a picture of it with people entering the door to catch the first premiere. Once inside, they see the back-stage help preparing some of the decorations for the next scene. Some of the action shots are those of the teachers playing the varsity, and of the stu- I dent body supporting a pep meeting. We see a few members of the R. O. T. C. taking part in the raising of the flag. Something new has been added. The senior leading lady, seems to be giving a lesson in education to her pet, Cloie. T-O-L-L-E-S-T-O-N - Tolleston.” 7

SCHOOL LIFE Crew-cut” V Several scenes being shot for the gigantic television program, are those in which some Tolleston actors are taking part. Here are some of the sneak previews caught by our photographer. Peeking through a keyhole to one of the dressing rooms, we see an experiment in bar- bering. Passing through the halls we find another member of the cast taking time out for relax- ation and a little friendliness on the side. Of course, we musn’t forget to mention the title of the program, so if you’ll notice we’ve 6 Trimmers??”

GUIDANCE The following is a definition of guidance: The act which enables each individual to under- stand his abilities and interests, to develop them as far as possible, to relate them to life goals, and finally to reach a state of complete and ma- ture self-guidanqe as a desirable citizen of a democratic and social order.” For the last four years Tolleston has been conducting what is known as the Home Room Ac- tivity Hour. Once a week this hour is reserved for the subject of guidance. Every Monday, at 2:30, Freshmen and Sophomores remain in their home rooms to discuss such problems as, dating, etiquette, and getting along with others. Wed- nesdays are used by the juniors and Seniors for the same purpose. Their discussions are based mainly on what they plan to do after graduating. Movies and special talks sometimes aid in these discussions. 8
