Mr. Ken Jaeger attended ASU and holds a BME. Mr. Jaeger sponsors our Wolverine Band. Jazz Band, and Flag Corps. This was his sixth year and thinks: The change in the Tolleson stu- dents. faculty and campus in the past few years has been tremen- dousf' Mr. Tom Inman has attended ASU, Kansas State University and the University of Colorado. After teaching here for fifteen years he states: There have been a considerable amount of improvements made, in faculty, students and campus. X 'N Marilyn Keller has attended ASU and NAU in the past and holds a BA in education and MS in Home Economics. Mrs. Keller sponsors the Co-op club which includes the C.O.E. and H.E.R.O. students. This was her 10th year and feels the growth of the school has been well organized and needed. Ms. Gail lvinskas has been here for six years. Ms. lvinskas has at- tended Michigan State Universi- ty and ASU and holds a BS and MA. She didn't sponsor any clubs but she did chaperon the Ski Club on their outings. Lyle Kelly has attended the fol- lowing colleges: University ofTul- sa, Oklahoma State University, Arizona State University, Grand Canyon College and holds a BS in Journalism. Mr. Kelly has been here for 9 years. Mr. Stan Jackson has attended ASU, BYU, U of A and holds MA, Mr. Jackson is in charge of put- ting the yearbook together, ESL, and teaches college Spanish for Rio Salado in the evenings. After spending three years here he de- clares: This is the best adminis- tration I've had the privilege of working under, l'm very proud of their achievements. We or' - fr Sffg-i Mr. Thomas E. Kirsch has at- tended NAU and holds a BS in education. Mr. Kirsch sponsors the Hiking Club and also is asst. Track coach. This was his 4th year. FACULTY Mr. Alfredo Franco Gamez at- tended University of Milwaukee and the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He has been with Tolle- son for two years. When asked how he feels about Tolleson he gave a famous quote from Victor Hugo. He who opens a school door, closes a prison. KM ,,,.., T il! lxll t' Mr. Ron Harnish has been with Tolleson for 5 years. In the past he attended Kent State, ASU, and Youngstown State Universi- ty, and received a BS and MS. He works with the Future Business Leaders of America. 168 Mr. Larry Gottlieb has attended U of A and received his BA. He then received his MA at ASU. Mr. Gottlieb stated The schools getting better all the time. 41 A it, 'Q This was Mr. Bob Hensler's fourth year at Tolleson. He at- tended Arizona College ofthe Bi- ble, and ASU. Mr. Hensler has sponsored the special Olympics at De Anza. He stated, From the time I started things have im- proved a lot, in general. Mr. George Gutierrez attended NAU and ASU, He received his BA and MA. Mr. Gutierrez coaches Varsity football, Varsity tennis and Freshman football. He is also the sponsor for the Letterrnans Club, Yvonne Hutchinson has attend- ed NAU, Mercy College of Nurs- ing and holds MA in counciling. Ms. Hutchinson sponsored Hope and V.l.C.A. She has taught for 12 years and she feels that this school has had a tremendous growth and a more attractive campus. Monty L. Anderson has taught here for six years and coaches football and softball. He attend- ed Central Washington State University and ASU to receive his BA and MA. Q A Mrs. Sue Hysong attended NAI and received MA and a BA i education. Mrs. Hysong ha been here for 2 years and he sponsored our Varsity Volleybz and girls track. She feels the sti dent body seems to be alway working towards improvement.

FACULTY Ann Layton has been teaching here for 5 years. She received her BA at ASU and her MA at BYU. She also attended summer school at the Sorbonne in Paris. She states she is Pleased to see more students taking a greater interest in seriously studying a foreign language. Ms. Layton also sponsors the FrenchfGer- man Club. Mr. Earl Lulloff received his AA and his BA Education by attend- ing Adams State College, MCC and ASU. This is his 3rd year here. He comments on the con- struction: A great undertaking whose conclusion I am awaiting with tremendous anticipation. 170 Mrs. Carol Lucero received her BA and MA attending Northern Illinois University, and ASU. She has taught here for 9 years. She thinks TUHS has made many positive changes over the years: only one thing remains the same - good kids. .mm-mm Mrs. Carol McElroy has attended St. Olat College in Northfield, Minn. She also went to NAU 81 Spanish Language lnstitute in San Jose Costa Rica: she holds a BA. She sponsors Sic-Interact and is English Dept. co-chairper- son. She's taught 8 years at TUHS. Gilbert Lucero fMaster Luceroj attended Phoenix College and ASU to receive his BA in Educa- tion. This is his 6th year here and he sponsors the Non-clubbers club. He didn't have much to say except Thank God I've been here to help! Mr. Robert McElroy received his BA at Adams State College. He's been teaching at Tolleson for six years. The campus looks much better now. The range of classes offered to students is better than many high schools. Mrs. Cathy Lumm first year at TUHS sponsors model U.N. and Freshman cheer. She went to Mi- not State College for 2 years and NAU for 3 years. She has a mas- ters degree in the teachings of Social Studies. A . f Mr. Roy Moreno received his BS in physical education. He is head baseball coach and varsity as- sist. football coach. He's been teaching at Tolleson for six years. l graduated from Tolle- son in 1968 so l've seen the stu- dent body grow from 600 to 1700 students.
