CHEERLEADERS l SPIRIT PEPS-UP SPORTS THE VARSITY CHEERLEADING SQUAD had an exciting year adding spirit to the football and basketball games. Members were: Bottom Jackie Beachum, Kim Landis, Lisa Limb, Shea Pritchard, Dena Smith, Jackie Christenson, Michele Wible, Maria Rabjohn, Alva Martinez, Hilda Hasset, Susie Sullinger, Teri Garcia, and Tammy Byler. Highlights were the annual Pow- der Puff game played against the Mat Maids, with the football players acting as cheerleaders, and the many games and assemblies. '-A. THE MASCOT, Jackie Christenson, a senior humors the crowd at the Sports Assem bly, Dena Smith and Jennifer Willow, seniors watch the Friday night football game against Sunnyslope. STUDENT COUNCIL BUILDS SPIRIT The Student Council kept school spirit at a high level with their exciting assemblies and a very special' Homecoming. For the first time they held a coronation assembly the night be- fore the game allowing the royalty to reign dur- ing the parade and other fun activities. The Homecoming parade. dance and spider webbing ofthe Wolverine Den were also orga- nized by the Student Council. ln the fall they attended a spirit assembly at Dobson High fea- turing Mark Sharenbroch. Truck Hernandez, Student Body President, observes as Leopoldo Moreno and Ricardo Reis display their soccer talents in an assembly.
