GlRLS..SljlOOT-FOR-ylCTORY Last spring's Varsity Girls Basketball team participated in the AAA metro division. The toughest opponents in the league were Arcadia and Horizon, whom each contributed to the 3 losses in league play. Outside of the league the team battled with very strong competition. The Tolleson team was one of the youngest teams in the metro-division. According to coach Lyle Kelly, The team has the most potential and the most quickness. The team consists of one Senior, three juniors, and four sophomores. Senior, Linda Green and Junior, Mona Lomeli were the leading scorers and had the greater number of assists. The two who have improved most offensively are sophomore, Lisa Macnulty and junior, Anita Laborin. Most improved defensively is sophomore Rhonda Beaupre. Junior, Subrena Foster and Sophomore, April Lopez are the top rebounders for the team. Mr. Kelly enjoys coaching, when the girls are enthusiastic and want to learn.
