SOCCER GAINS EXPERIENCE The Varsity Soccer team entered their second season this year. With only five teams in their division and their new exper- ienced players the Wolverines moved into a very strong position. Three of the new players that gave the Wolverines the extra boost were Tim Lo- berger, Ricardo Reis and Eric Wilkins. Lo- berger, a senior, came out for the first time and immediately became defensive captain. Ricardo Reis a Brazilian exchange student was a great helpto the team with his fantas- tic ball skill. The third, Eric Wilkins was defi- nitely the best freshman with his skill on of- fense. Some of the students returning from last year that were a great help were Darren Williams, Leopoldo Moreno, Richard Camp- bell, Ricky Hodge, Brad Anderson, Mike Reil- ly, Danny Isabel, Arnulfo Salgado, and Joell Rodriguez. VARSITY CAPS WINNING SEASON WITH PLAYOFFS Ranked number two in their division the Varsity Softball team finished their season by earning a spot in the divisional playoffs. The record of 10 and 9 was the team's best since Tolleson has joined Triple A. Ramona Lomeli, Debbie Ryan, and Charlene Eichorn were the main cog in an efficient softball machine throughout the year. Coach Monty Anderson told how he felt about the squad when he said, They're very awesome, really done a heck of a job. With natural skill, and many hours of practice, the team managed to emerge victorious over very respectable teams, and they represented Tolleson very well. eel...
