'4 ' MAKE IT HAPPEN The Letterman's Club had a very active year under the direction of President Jessica Johnson. One of their great successes was the Christmas formal. Determined to succeed they formed committees early and went to work: gathered sawdust, baked cookies, made punch, cleaned the gym and decorated. People were amazed at the gym's unique ap- pearance . . . green and red spot lights . . . parachutes . . . a Christmas tree . . . and goood music! Over 45 couples en- joyed the activity. Mrs. Sommerville will help you find ajob, and then stay with you for nine months to help you keep your employment. Private help is given in seeking careers. Students learn many skills: truck driving, telephone installation, and food preparation among others. They are instructed on an individual basis developing the skills necessary for success in life. Located at 9514 W. Van Buren, the school is on a separate campus, where a home- like atmosphere prevails. They try to change the students attitudes to acceptable behavior patterns, while learning history, math, English etc. I 51
