HIKING AND SKIING DEVELOP OUR SPORT'S MUSCLES THE HIKING CLUB climbed the Superstition mountains. Over 25 students went on the trip and enjoyed a sack lunch at Boulder Canyon. Pictured above are the sponsors Mr, Kirsh, Ms. Burkhardt, and Ms. Thompsong President Dom Lauricella and Vice President Jerry Wiedmang Dawn Turnage, Joe Silverman, Randy Parkerson, Mike and Suzanne Sullinger. THE SKI CLUB had a NEW BEGINNING this year. They sold candy grams and made a profit that was used on their first trip in January with many new members attending. Mr. Garcia, the sponsor, enjoyed the experience with the enthusiastic group.

Middle: Coach Smith. iPhoto by Jacksonj The freshman basketball team took on a new look during the 1981-82 season. Playing with greater spirit than ever before. The team finished with a very re- spectable record. Under the superior coaching of Mr. Smith, the team gained desire to improve, and work harder. The defense seemed capable of stopping any effort put forth by their opponents. Led by the fine playing of Greg Clarkson and John Galindo, the team represented Tolleson well. Coach Smith and the play- ers were definitely a great asset to Tolleson's athletic program. Danny Arce dribbling the ball down the court to make two points.
