Wdvmv News Was AMA ' Tolleson Union High School's newspaper was one of which the students could be truly proud. One of the few mimeographed newspapers to use pictures, the paper was the winner of the All-American honor rating from the National Scholastic Press Association and the All-Arizona rating from the University of Arizona. Frantic cries from Linda Bailey, editor, for copy, worries with torn stencils, lost stories, and a thousand and one crises made working on the newspaper never dull. Trips to Tempe and Tucson for Journalism Days gave the staff a break from monotony. The new publications room gave the staff a place they could call their own and with its lived-ini' look it wa-s obvious that no one paid much attention when Mr. Winthrop said, 'tNext week we've got to get organized! Gaily attired in hats and skirts made from newspapers, new mem- bers were initiated into the club. This club is open to any student who has taken either publications or journalism and has the grade average of the upper-third of the class. For the first time there was a publications room located next to the dark room.
