S Gold plumes and white gloves were sported by the TUHS band. Dashing in his new white uniform, ,lohn Cordova led the band in some of the most im- pressive halftime ceremonies ever staged at TUHS. The band also made the school proud when they made various appearances around the State. Mr. John Faris directed the snappy group. Adding a icolorful touch to the band, these snappy Wolverine twirlers are: I. Lair, J. Schmidt and L. Bishop. sw ...N I -r' . ,-,... Homecoming was a big affair for the TUHS student body. Pleat-5 of7Qpiwb wuidecbbg Betty Alcocer, Cathy Oracion fco-captainj Kathy Kruse, tco-captain! and Darlene Hintz were the 62-63 cheerleaders. For the first time, the varsity cheer- leaders and pom pon girls centered the pep assemblies around foreign lands and places. As Indian maidens the girls uwhooped it up to start the series of interesting and different type of assemblies. Costumes of France brought the flavor of the European countries to the stage. Besides presiding over the pep assem- hlies, the cheerleaders were aetive at all home football and haskethall games and still found time to travel to many dif- ferent schools to cheer their team on to victory. Z I I Lucy Naya and Virginia McBride were cheerleader alter. JV cheerleaders for 62-63 were Mary Aleman, Pam Beasley, Pam nates' Variosdell, Liz Bell, and Peggy Accomazzo.
