Congratulations to the members of the Class of 1967! As each of you venture forth to take your place in the great arena of life, thought, and action, I would commend to you the following words of wisdom gleaned from the pen of James Allen -- As you think, as you travel, as you work, and as you love, you attract. You are today where your thoughts and efforts have brought you; you will be tomorrow where they will take you, You cannot escape the results of your thoughts, but you can continue to endure and learn, (can accept and be glad.) You will realize the vision, not the idle wish, of your heart, be it base or beautiful, or a mixture of both; for you will always gravitate towards that which you secretly think and like. In your hands will be placed the exact results of your thoughts; you will receive that which you earn; no more, no less, What- ever your present environment may be, you will use, remain, or fall with your thoughts, your wisdom, your ideal. You will become as small as your controlling desire; as great as your dominant aspiration. May you always walk with dignity, reverence, and thoughtfulness. a mye oo iw. The time has come for you to leave the walls of your Alma Mater. I share with you your happiness in reaching this milestone of your educational career. You have looked forward to this time with great anxiety, but the nearer the time for this momentous day approaches, I am wondering if you have made each second, minute, and hour count as you climbed the ladder to graduation, During the time that I have guided and counseled you, I have tried to instill in you the importance of making the most of your high school days. Your future will depend on how well you have prepared yourself, because tomorrow depends on today and is only as strong as your today. I have enjoyed our counseling sessions, and whatever your post high school plans are, and whatever your future success is, please realize that my greatest happiness comes, when you have done (your best) and achieved success, You have my warm and heart felt wishes for your success.
