Medical Faculty Our medical faculty plays a major role in helping the nursing student to develop nursing techniques in all capacities. They capahly lead us from exploring the basic fundamentals of disease, in the classroom, to applying the knowledge we have gained in the hospital setting. Medical nursing re- mains one of the most satisfying and heart- touching phases a student experiences. The constant support and guidance from these instructors helps each one of us to develop our skills and our special talents to the utmost. By demonstration, role playing, and using themselves as guinea pigs, they learn the necessary skills used in nursing. Such things as bed making, temperatures, blood pressures, and many other more difhcult procedures are learned in this manner under the watchful eye of the Fundamentals Department. In our world of modern medicine, these tech- niques are used to cure diseases. On the wards we gain experiences and learn to care for and promote the recovery of the patients who undergo these procedures. The Surgical Faculty through their effort, patience, and encouragement are responsible for the know- ledge and skills we acquire as students in Surgical nursing.
