Previously she porticipoted in the Student Nurse Associo- tion ot Ohio ond served os odvisor to the Ioledo Student Nurse Associotion in oddition to numerous protessionol oc- tivities. 9

Miss Edna E. Shcirritt Director of Nursing Education and Service After graduating from the Grant Hospital School of Nurs- ing in Columbus, Ohio, Miss Sharritt went on to Columbia University where she received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees. In 1939, she .was first employed at Toledo Hospital as As- sistant Director of Nursing. But this was soon interrupted by the army. Here she served as Chief Nurse of the Cadet Nurse Program at Fletcher Hospital and later as Chief Nurse of the 238th General Hospital Division. ln addition to her activity in many civic and professional organizations, she is beginning her 9th year as a member of the Ohio Board of Nursing Education and Nursing Registries. For the pasti4 years Miss Sharritt has gained the respect and admiration of those who work with her in her position as the Director of the School of Nursing and Nursing Serv- ice. 8
