THIRD ROW: Richard Asplund, John Grizzle, Pete Helland, Corby Turner CLASS SUMMARY The class of 58 's first activity was to sponsor a dance at the community hall after the Toledo -Mor- ton football game. For the March of Dimes, we donated 525. 25 from our class treasury and collected the rest from the Sophomore roll rooms, Altogether we raised S4o.oo. We also sponsored dances on the stage at noon, Our team won from the Freshmen in the March of Dimes fund raising toumament. We placed third in the Christmas Basketball Tournament. The majority of players on the B squad basketball team were Sophomore boys. They had a good season with I9 straight wins. We ordered our class rings on March 15, 1956 and hope to receive them next October. They are of the Golden Knight style and are of a variety of colors. Our class put on a one- act play, entitled Herbies First Date, and two talent numbers for an assembly to entertain the Student Body, We decorated the auditorium for the Baccalau- reate Services, using large baskets of flowers and sprays of flowers in front of the stage. We are looking forward to our Junior and Senior years at Toledo High. Mrs. Soland and Mr. Soland
