As Freshmen they were quite active in extra curricular activi- ties. There were three out for football, consisting of Jerald Smith, John Ferry, Stanley Rebik, and Bob Zmolek who was manager. Theypresentedaone act play called Honey of a Peach , and were active in Mixed Chorus, Glee Clubs, band and Y-teen. The girls also took in a sport, girls basketball. As Sophomores they were much more active. They had the largestnumber on the Honor Roll, which really means something. There were more out for football, boys and girls basketball, ac- tive on Newsreel staff, MixedChorus, Glee Clubs and band. They also presented the play Let's Rough It to the P, T. A, The Juniors of 5l pre sented the play Here We Go Again which was a big success. Several were out for football and played in most all of the games. Only four boys were out for basketball, and several girls were out. The day they gave the banquet for the seniors was awindy one, but everyone had a good time. They par- ticipated in band, girls and boys Glee Clubs, Mixed Chorus and a greatnurnber in small groups like girls sextet and trio, boys octet and quartet, pep band and instrumental groups. The Seniors supplied the football team with six players, each one receiving aletter. They were John Ferry, Eugene Garretson, Roger Steveson, Jerry Smith, Gene Rogers, and Mike McCann. John Sichra and Ronald Cockrel were sports managers for the year. The Senior Class supplied one boy for the basketball team but there were seven Senior girls all seeing action sometime during the sea- son. They also participated in band, glee clubs, mixed chorus, smallvocal and instrumental groups. As we go to press, the year isn't completed. We are looking forward with anticipation to Skip Day, the Banquet, Senior Class play and Commencement. All in allwe have had lots of fun in our four years at Toledo High School.
