C LASS OFFICERS President Dick Anderson Vice President Bernice Biley Secretary Treasurer Maxine ROll1SOH not pictured J is for Juniors Working early and late To make the big banquet Or get a new date We Juniors looked forward to the 1948 49 school year At last we were to become upper classmen' Our class play Problem Fa ther was presented November 23 Remember all the fun we had at rehearsal k1ds9 Our class was well represented on the athletic field In football our lettermen were D1ck Anderson Bill Gary Don Zigler Ray Whitmore Charles Bruene and Burton Adams Those Junior girls and boys out for basketball were Bernice Biley Ra mona Turbett Eleanor Young Mar Jorie Pugh Maxine Rollison Ray Whitmore, Dick Anderson, Jim Campbell, Hurb Wagoner, Leonard Fletcher was manager. Many Juniors displayed their musical abilities this year. Besides the large group taking part in glee clubs and mixed chorus, Pat Palmer and Merry Gray were members of the Girls' Sextet. Those taking part in the small instrumental groups were Naomi Morgan Trombone Quartet and Brass Sextet Marilyn Blake Saxophone Quartet and Merry Gray Clarinet Quartet Another extra curricular activi ty in which many Juniors participated was the News Reel Bernice Biley and Gail Scott were elected as two of the five cheer leaders of the year At all home basketball and football games anyone could find the Juniors ready and willing to serve them apples and candy bars The proceeds were used to help finance the Junior Semor Banquet and Prom. Our high-light of the year was, of course, the Junior-Senior banquet and prom, which, at this writing, has not arrived yet. But being a very energetic and cooperative class there is no doubt that it will be a huge success.
