Omlor Sophomore Class Hlstory Two years ago on September 4 1944 twenty four frlght ned Freshmen en tered old T H S lnow T C H SJ Thelr meekness was somewhat lessened when they surv1ved 1n1t1at1on and knew wlthout doubt but they were IN ' Then they ser1ously settled down to then new hlgh school l1fe after class off1cers were elected under th sponsorsh1p of Mrs Kelly The followmg officers were elected Pres1dent Bernard Elder Vlce Pres1dent Joe Rob rts and Secre tary Treasurer Charlene Brown These people f1lled then' offlces very Well As a rel1ef from the monotony of stud1es they enjoyed many partles all of wh1ch helped better the class sp1r1t They proudly boast d two of thelr members as cheerleaders and several par t1c1pated1n basketball G A A chorus band and the Reflector On September 4th 45 twenty two of the or1g1nal twenty four returned a F1rst under the d1rect1on of thelr sponsor Mxss Foster the s1lly Sophs elect ed the followmg offlcers Pres1dent Joe Rob rts V1ce Presldent Wllma Mltchell Secretary Charlene Brown and Treasur r V1ctor Stewart These offlcers proved competent for th 1r selected offlces Second hard work on subjects so as to pass semesters and SIX weeks Also the renewmg of the class soclal l1fe by partles fThe Sophomores sponsored the Barn Dance Wh1Ch was a great successr Agam th1s year they can proudly say We have a member on the basketball team s f1rst five' We also have members takmg part 1n G A A others ln bas l-'etball the paper staff chorus band and one m mber as a cheerleader The outstandmg amb1t1on of these S1lly Sophomores of 46 IS to recelve thelr dxplomas as D1gn1f1ed Semors of '48' 7946 . - ' O - ' Y 1 V .
