Omtar Junlor Llass Hlstory Although the twenty three persons who started thelr h1gh school career on August 30 1943 were very green th y soon organlzed themselves 1nto a hlgh sp1r1ted class Wlth Mrs Ell1s as our sponsor we elected these class offlcers Naom1 Lee presldent Edna Carrell vrce pr sldent and Dorothy McCandl1sh secretary and treasurer Slxteen enrolled at the beg1nn1ng of our Sophomore year and wlth the com mg of Irma Bartlett our class mcreased to sev nteen MISS Olmstead as sponsor helped us to elect our off1cers For that year they were Carolyn Easton presldent John Elder v1ce presld nt Ruth Ingram treas urer and Ray Sowers secretary Both of these years our class has Jolned 1n many of the school actrvitles Th1s year slxteen of last years seventeen agaln enrolled and were mcreased to twenty two by the enrollrn nt of new puplls brought 1nto th1s dlstrlct by the form1ng of a communlty h1gh school Later the class was decreased to twenty one when Anlce Moses dropped out M1ss Anthony IS our class sponsor and our offxcers are Betty Starwalt pres rdent Hazel Solllday v1ce presldent Naom1 Lee treasurer and John Elder secretary This year our class has partlclpated 1n several of extra currlcular actlvltles Ray Sowers and Kenneth Stewart are two of the flrst f1ve of the Toledo Ter rrers and John Elder IS the SlXth man Members of the class take great lnterest rn Chorus Newspaper staff G A A Home Economlcs and others 'I'h1s class of 47 g1ves 1ts best wlshes to the Semors of 46 and hope that we may be as successful as they 1946 '-1 ' ,' ,' '-', '.' -4 , Av' ill' 'Q ,f f A--, f' ,' ,' . 1 .
