Umlar Senlor Class Hlstory It was on September 2 1942 that the S nlors of 46 f1rst made thelr appear ance IH T H S as green Freshles We were thlrty elght bewlldered looklng faces startlng our flrst day of h1gh school not knowlng where to go and how to act but lt wasnt long untll we learned Mr Songer was our class sponsor and under h1s guldance the followlng Offl cers were elected Pre ldent JoAnne Cutts Vice Presldent Margaret Furry Secretary Tr asurer D1ck Olmstead We were represented 1n the Student Coun c1l by Lou1se McClellan and B111 Grxssom Many members of our class were represented ln school act1v1t1es xncludmg chorus orchestra G A A Home Economlcs and the Reflector Staff One mem ber of our class was one of the f1rst frve on the basketball team and We had several others who were v ry prom1s1ng Two Freshles were elected as cheer leaders We began the role of the sllly SOphl6S on August 30 1943 w1th only twenty SIX of the former class enrolled several of our class havxng dropped out Irma Reynolds transferred from Jewett to Toledo thus maklng twenty seven ln all of electlng class offlcers They were Presldent D1ck Olmstead V106 Presldent Lou1se McClellan S cretary Gene Snodgrass and Treasurer Bruce Janes We were agam well represented ln school act1v1t1es and had two boys on the fxrst f1ve of the Basketball squad Margaret Furry and D1ck Olmstead were agaln chosen as che rleaders Durlng the year a few more of our class elther dropped out or moved away We became Jolly Jun1ors when we began our thrrd year of Hlgh School on September 4 1944 Our class numbered twenty f1ve We were happy to have a new scholar Mary Worley from W1ndsor Two students moved away leavxng only twenty three That year our class sponsor was Mrs Ellls The class offlcers were Presldent D1ck Olmstead V1ce Presldent Lou1se McClellan Secretary Treasurer Gene Snodgrass Three of our class B111 Grlssom Dave Llchtenwalter and Bruce Janes were on the frrst f1V6 of the Terrler squad Two 'unlors were assistant edltors of the Reflector On cheerleader was chosen from our class Member, of the class partlclpated ln various school act1v1t1es Under the dlrectlon of Mrs Ellls the class presented a play Llttle Women ' 1946 its ,-' 7 Y',', ,-L -' ,Al iii' Aj ,T , '-'Y ,' ,f f- O l 0:0 Q . , . .
