In short order a common denominator of terms is TOLEDOMEN and through use of these words and a few gestures personnel can be conveyed to almost given destination. Ginn mid-March TOLEDO called at southern japan upon arriving in WESTPAC. Sasebo has department which compare to many found in medium-sized Stateside cities. The streets are narrow and crowded with bicycles, scooters and small automobiles. The bus and train service is outstanding both in and out of People are seen everywhere, shuffling by on getas. Little babies are being carried like papooses, supported by sash about the mother's waist. People are dressed equally in western style and in traditional Kimono. qfq ,I 's April visit to Japan was welcomed with sunshine and fragrant cherry blossoms The brilliance along the streets of Yokosuka, Kamakura and Tokyo brought to life a still vision Japan held by many Americans.
