'jFJ v P ADMINISTRATION DEDICATION FACULTY UNDERCLASSMEN INTRODUCTION ANNUAL STAFF CLASS OFFICERS ADVISORS SENIORS ADVERTISING VIP’S ACTIVITIES THE INTRODUCTION The first school annual or yearbook, was printed in 1954. This tradition has been kept alive by the continuing classes. The class of “70” once again is falling in the foot- steps of previous classes in presenting this yearbook. The purpose of any annual is to give a retrospec- tive of the people, places, and events in the past. This is the last (probably) annual holds for the class of “70” a treasure full of memories, memories of schoolmates, teachers and events. “Though we may part but never in our hearts.” “Senior Class of 1970” 2 3 ADMINISTRATION SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE TO THE SENIOR CLASS OF 1970: We now approach the season of the year when graduation becomes a reality. I con- gratulate you on having arrived at this day. It is my sincere hope that each of you carry into adult life those things that you have had instilled in you as a student at Todd-Grant that will challenges that you encounter in the forthcoming years. Seniors, we are living in a changing world-yesterday is different from today. The past is finished and the future is upon you and “stands with folded hands of mystery”. It has come to challenge you and bear you on to higher and nobler heights. It is a distinct pleasure to have worked with you. I hope your future will be as happy for you as the past year has been for me working with you. 5 PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE To the Members of the Class of 1970 I count it a privilege to extend to you a hearty congratulations upon your graduation from the Todd-Grant High School. You arc completing your high school work at a time of great unrest in our world. Young people: you are facing an ever changing society. We must prepare now for the future if we expect to gain the respect of others or hold an important part in our society. As you go forth, may you always bear in mind your responsibility to yourselves, to your fcllowman and to God. It is our prayer that you will be successful in all of your laudable undertakings and that your love and loyalty for your Alma-Mater will cause you at all times to live so that the world can see in you the true image of the Todd-Grant High School boy or girl. May God ever endow you with the desire and determination to be somebody. C. A. DeVillars, Principal 6 DEDICATION We the members of the Senior Class, have chosen to dedicate our annual to you, Mr. Florence. This is only a small way of saying that we appreci- ate your guidance, encouragement, and faith during the four years we have been under your supervision. It is through these sincere endeavors that we have realized our dream of reaching graduation day and we pledge our continued efforts for these same type achievements because we know you arc pleased when we succeed. With hearts full of love, we dedicate our yearbook the 1970 TIGER, to you. 7 FA CUL TY Mrs. R.C. Armstrong 2nd Grade Mrs. M. Blackshear English Mr. C. W. Brown Science Mrs. C.M.
