Principal PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE I wish to congratulate you, the members of the Graduating Class of '63 for your efforts and attainments. As I write this message to you, I am fortunate to be listening to President J. F. Kennedy's State of the Union Message to the 88th Congress and the people of this great nation. It was wonderful to note the emphasis placed on the need of our nation to continue to strive toward the education of our young men and women from kinder- garten through graduate school, regardless of race, color or creed. Please permit me to say to you that to this end, your parents, teachers, county and state governments, and your federal government have continually strived. You have reached a very important landmark in your life because of the many interested forces behind you and because of your efforts and abilities, these forces of help, no doubt, will continue to make themselves a very important part in your life, but the chief responsibility of growing up rests with you. Whether you will continue your education depends on your interest and your ability. So I say, give serious thoughts to this very important matter. Do not waste your time in idleness and just plain foolishness. Todd-Grant High School is happy to have had a part in helping to shape your course. We tried hard and hope that we have done you justice. We further hope you will make us all proud that sometime in the not-too-distant future, you will make us all proud that we are a part of each other. Best wishes for your continued growth and development. Sincerely yours, Cx¥h MjL Liioj C. A. DeVillars, Principal [ 4 ] 0L
