OUR PRINCIPAL PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE Ihave written seve ral messages for our Senior Class Annuals and have always derived a source of pleasure in doing so, but the opportunity to write this message is considered a very special privilege and a challenge. Mine has been the privilege to see you grow from fickled minded freshmen to serious minded and dignified seniors. You have been warned of the many evils with which you will be confronted in a world of confusion, hate, prejudices, and other short comings. It is our divine wish that although others around you may become confused, you will not do so, though others may hate you, do not hate, although prejudice in others may be mountainous, do not be prejudice. Con- tinue to cling to some rag of honor, to be honest, to be kind, to earn a little and to spend a little less. It has been your pleasure to witness the beginning and complete construction of a new and up to date physical plant on your school's campus, this within itself must be inspiring to you. Please permit me to express my sincere appreciation for the opportunity of having worked with you, and wish for you continued, health, happiness and success. Instead of dirt and poison, fill your lives with honey and wax and it will be yours, the privilege to give to the world and mankind two of the noblest of things, sweetness and light. Sincerely yours, C. A. DeVillars, Principal 6
