Dedication Barbara Pate In the few years that Mrs. Pate has been a teacher at Tivy, she has not only encouraged academic achievement but she has been a vital force in molding the character of each student with whom she has come in contact. Her driving enthusiasm and tireless efforts have been instrumental in helping each of us realize our own potential. Understanding, guidance, friendship, and sincere concern have keynoted her success as both a teacher and a friend. Each day her life exemplifies her fine ideals. As a man is to the world, so the student is to TIVY. Each is as a finger Dn the human hand, seeking, reaching, grasping in purposeful motion. And is a fragment it is nourished from a focal pt)int. The high school student ■neasures much of his world in terms of his educational institution. And For four years Tivy provides the impetus for our world. The 1969 NTLER has attempted to capture this world as it relates us to our high school. To us, this is the world of Tivy. US
