Her driving enthusiasm and tireless efforts have been instrumental in helping each of us realize our own potential. Understanding, guidance, friendship, and sincere concern have keynoted her success as both a teacher and a friend. Each day her life exemplifies her fine ideals. In respect, we dedicated the 1969 ANTLER to Mrs. Barbara Fate-one most dedicated to Tivy High School. TIVY 1 1 y 1 TIVY TIVY TIVY TIVY TIVY TIVY TIVY TIVY TIVY TIVY As a man is to the world, so the student is to TIVY. Each is as a finger Dn the human hand, seeking, reaching, grasping in purposeful motion. And is a fragment it is nourished from a focal pt)int. The high school student ■neasures much of his world in terms of his educational institution. And For four years Tivy provides the impetus for our world. The 1969 NTLER has attempted to capture this world as it relates us to our high school. To us, this is the world of Tivy. To some degree inadequate facilities can be compenstated for: an inadequate faculty cannot. Certainly some high schools are not always able to maintain a high standard in its personnel. Tivy has been fortunate in its efforts. This faculty section honors those persons who are such a vital part of Tivy. CLASSES CLASSES CLASSES CLASSES CLASSES CLASSES CLASSES CLASSES CLASSES CLASSES CLASSES 18 TivT is tradition; and that tradition is embodied in the very buildings that grace the campus. Each building on campus, from the gjni to the science building, represents some intangible qualit) ' to every student. When one remembers classes, his thoughts bring him back to the buildings that house them:smelly chemistr rooms, drab grey math rooms, modem language labs, air conditioned attendance office, noisy library , and of course, the ever crowded cafeteria. Congratulations seniors. It has taken four long years but we have lived through high sehool and we soon will graduate. Just being a .Senior is a great experience for we dominate over all the rest. Seniors take great pride in their Homecoming float and hall. I liey show their prestige by leading out at assemblies and by jealously guarding favored positions at the back of llie bus.
