FACULTY Mr. Calvin Hibler, chemistry, explains his experimentof g r o W i n g plants chemically as Mr. Alfred Peters, biology, and Mr. Herman Billnit- zer, generals c i en c e, look on and offer sug- gestions. These teachers help Tivy students to become familiar with the fields of s cience. Through laboratory experiments, they help students to ex- plore the r ealm of the unknown. Mrs. Rachel Luna, left, who teache s speech classes and directs the Junior and Senior plays, has also coached many dramatic class students who have won honors in interscholastic con- tests. Mr. John Armstrong's long and hard work with his band stu- dents has produced a musical or- ganization that has won top honors in many concert andmarching con- tests. Mrs. Moore and Miss Surber divide their time between homemaking classes and F. H. A. , the organization that they sponsor. The Ag teachers are constantly kept busy helping their boys prepare for the stock shows and thernumerous contests they en- ter.
