Action, excitement, and enthusiasm were displayed by the cast in Babes in Arms, the first student musical for T.H.S. Directed by Michael McForren, the plot captured experiences of young stage apprentices and their efforts to become stars of the theater. Action took place in and around a small sum- mer stock theater on Cope Cod, where the apprentices were continually inter- rupted in their acting by the villianous Seymour Fleming. Highlights of the show included the discovery that the fa- mous Steve Edwards was Susie ' s brother, the romantic reunion of Valen- tine, and the strange production of the Deep North. The orchestra, music, and choreo- graphy were under the direction of Co- Musical Directors Charles Anderson and Donald Mowrey. Ticket sales and other financial arrangements were- handled by the Class of ' 73, which shared the proceeds with the music department.
