Jr. Class Play lT'S GREAT T0 BE CRAZY Because Betty Lou has her poem printed in the school paper, she thinks she is a descendant of Elizabeth Barrett Browning. She and Bernadine write to a firm that looks up family trees. The reply is intercepted by Mr. Maxwell. It states that his ancestors included Bluebeard, Lady Macbeth, and other unsavory characters. It adds that a men- tal change usually occurs about forty. Since Wil- bur and Hercules have decided to be magicians, they prepare for a magic show . All goes well Whatalcissll!! until Pop walks in and sees the chairs hopping pictures rocking, and magazines bouncing across the room. He is sure that he is losing his mind and confides in Wilbur. Wilbur is so impressed that the boys decide to commute with the skeletons in the family closet. Gertrude and Louie hide in the closet, and are discovered by the boys. How- ever, everything ends happily when another letter arrives and corrects the mistake. Put if on straight W1 I . . Sleep walker 1- ,.r V. 1
