C ASS HISTORY In the fall of 1953 41 rough and ready freshmen descended upon Trskxlwa Hrgh School to begrn therr hrgh school careers We elected Fred Slms as Pres Melvm Tyne as Vrce Pres Norma Norton as Sec and Bob Brttner as Treas to gtude us through our flrst year Our class sponsors were Mr Orcutt and Mrs Stauffer Beverly Krtterman transferred to Punceton and Elbert Mrlby transferred to Ohro Robert Laurentren Jomed us at the semester but dropped classes 4 weeks later Regma Srruth Jorned Us rn Feb ruary and later transferred to Hall Townshrp We ended the year w1th an enrollment of .39 Returntng as sophomores we found that Sherrrl Zrmmerman had transferred Melvrn Tyne Pres Laurence Stalter Vrce Pres Mary Beth O Ne1ll Sec and Suzanne Moms Treas were elected as class offrcers Mrs Keller and Mrs Rmgenberg served as class sponsors Durmg the year Rrchard Krm berlv and Alrce Nelson Jorned us Barbara Battey transferred at the semester leavmg us w1th an enroll ment of 39 We began our Junror year W1Ih0UI Lorene Arteberry Charlene Foster and Dorothy Stauffer but Bar bara Battey had reJo1ned us Durrng the year Karen Johnson transferred to Manlrus and Barbara Battey and Nancy Nordstrom dropped out of school Myrna Spencer transferred here from Normal rn November Our offrcers tlus year were Laurence Stalter Pres Bob Btttner VICL Pres Beverly Smlth, Sec and Norma Norton Treas Mr l-la mrlton Mrs Keller and Mrs Hamrlton were our class sponsors Our fust class play Mountam Gal was declared to be very amusmg by the publrc and the members of the cast had a great deal of fun preparrng rt As a lovely clrmax to the year we gave the Senrors of l956 a Prom that followed the theme of Neptune s Isle of Paradrse At the begrnnrng of our semor year we found that Suzanne Morrrs and Rrchard Krmberly were no long er w1th us Thrs left an enrollment of 33 the number of our graduatlng class Fred Srms was elected Pres Albert Wagner V1ce Pres Shtrley Mussche Sec and Marcra Wheeler Treas Class sponsors th1s year were Mr and Mrs Hamllton and Mr Shull Our Senror Class Play If Mother Only Knew proved to be a success not only dralnatrcally but frnan clally The Prom glven us by the Junrors was one of the hrghlrghts of the year At the concluslon of Senror Class Nlght Baccalaureate Commencement and the class tr1p to Chrcago each of us left our hrgh school memorres rn the past and went on to make a mche for ourselves lll the adult world 9 X ,, ,, h N . . . . , e n Q, ' ., .Q .
