Most students at THS have not participated in activities involving our new vocational ag- riculture and shop building. From the busing to Middle School for Vo. Ag. to cramped shop quarters under the gym, we have expanded our facilities on the Southeast corner of our campus to spacious surroundings now enjoyed by stu- dents enrolled in shop, welding, woodworking, drafting, auto me- chanics, and vocational agricul- ture. Skills are taught which may greatly influence the lives of students enrolled. Take ad- vantage of our new building and the courses that are offered. Living to Learn Learning to Live Everyday living . . . sewing, cooking, nutrition, and family planning are some of the sub- jects studied by home economics students at THS. Skills are sharpened through demonstration and work experiences. Proper care and use of equipment is learned by using the equipment not always found in every home. Experiencing home economics is necessary to broaden the know- ledge of future homemakers and maturing them to handle tomor- rows problems. l)Plaids must match, a problem studied by Mrs. Duncan and Pat Plumley.2)Finishing touches done by Gayla Owens and Gina McCreary 3) Housing, blueprints and design studied by Home Ec.
