BOB DELVER My first year as principal of Tishomingo Junior and Senior High School has been made very pleasant by the cooperation of the student body. No principal could ask for more from any student group. I am looking forward to a better school each year. We are hoping to add new courses to the curriculum and generally improve our school. As you have learned, nothing better is gained by standing still. Either we must move forward or we slide backward. Making progress is difficult but possible. We should be proud of our school and what it has to offer. No school is any better than we think it is. Think TALL; be TALL. Each year the challenge for more education becomes greater. We are challenged by world powers in the race for excellence in many fields of endeavor. Our great ex- periment in democracy has been given a test in front of the world. If we are to face this test successfully, you, the youth of our nation, must give your whole selves at your very best all the time. Our nation must not suffer; and we are the nation. Our chal- lenge is great - - we must live up to it. Sincerely, Bob Delver

SccfrencHte utcHt 4 T teddaye J. D. KENDRICK I consider it a distinct pleasure to work with you as your superintendent and I'm quite sure I speak the sentiments of the entire faculty. As I look back on the past school year, 1 envision periods of complimentary success and periods when the going has been rough for all of us. However, I should like to say that each of us has come to accept our responsibilities with unquestionable valor. We have become leaders in our own right in that we have learned to identify our personal welfare with the welfare of the community, state, and nation. As an educator, I am concerned primarily with two phases of individual develop- ment. One being the exploration of priorities and hierarchies of value which may be applied to the solution of contemporary problems, and the other being the improve- ment of one’s ability to continue his own self-education in leadership techniques. I You must be prepared as the challenge is great. Your success depends on prepar- edness, personality, and humility. These three assets will carry you far - - please do not overlook them. My personal friendship always, J. D. Kendrick
