, ,rf JUNIOR MUSICAL The Junior Musical Club of the High School has had a very interesting and successful year. A skating party was held in the fall of the year and later, in February a valentine dance was given. In November some of the members attended a convention which was held at Peru. Julia Ann Harting represented the club on the program. The officers of the club for the year have been: Judith Bridge, president: Edith Mae Ogle, vice-president Jo Ann Martin, secretary-treasurer3 and Miss Lois Slone, sponsor. The other members are: Doris Allison, Mary Barrum, Rufina Gage, Mary Compton, Phyllis Foster, Mary rard, Julia Harting, Mary Hershman, Mary Jane Lilly, ' azel Mink, Margaret Myerly, Margaret Palmer, Edith Smith Ruth Preston, Vera Robinson, Betty Tatman, and Wanda Woodruff. Membership is open to any High School girl who meets the requirements of the club. Throughout the year Miss Slone has willingly given of her time and enthusiasm to help the girls in every- thing they have undertaken to do. DEBATE CLUB The Debate Club really began its career in the de- bate field this year. It entered the Central Indiana De- bating Conference which held' tourneys at Lebanon and Frankfort. The teams were: Affirmative: Helen Grail, Dave Simpson, Oarl LLudwig, Theodore Schwann, and Edith Smith, the negativeg Eugene Stoner, Mary Alice Bowlin, Richard Stoner, and Doris Allison. The winner of the Conference, Frankfort, won the State Contest,so maybe the Tipton teams didn't do so bad.
