Dorothy McGork1e '36 THIS BUILDING This building is a funny chap, He watches all our pranks, He never lifts the roof, his cap And seldom gives his thanks 7 0 The furnace is his mighty heart, That pumbs the liquid heat Through long pipes to the farthest p Then this it must repeat. He wears the same old suit of red With yellow decorations, He never lies upon a bed, Nor gets a real vacation. JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY The Class of l956 entered T.H.S. as rather bewild- ered freshmen in '53, held a class meeting, and elected Mary Compton presideri, Tigene Stoner vice-president, Dorothy Weismiller seo' L.ry-treasurer, and Miss Skaggs sponsor. Our main social event was the picnic rat the park at the close of the year. As sophomores we became a little more important and a little less bewildered. Our officers were:Eugene Stoner, presg Alice Bowlin, vice-pres3Richard Turnbell secretary-treasurerg and Mr. Runyon, sponsor, Our annual picnic was held at Fbrest Park at Noblesville. And now we're' Juniors. This time Richard Turnbell is presidentg Alice Bowlin, vice-presg Edith Mae Ggle, secretary-treasurerg and Iiss Moore, sponsor. We were estecially wise in our choice of sponsor, for she has certainly put us on our feet financially and taken us out' of our bewildered state. With her help ig. have earned money enough to entertain the seniors with a royal reception. The Junior Glass has been well represented in var ious school activities, and this year we are especially proud of our achievements in basketball, Latin contest, and oratorical contest. The Junior Glass is looking forward to the time when it will become the Senior Class of T.H.S.and hopes to be able to live up to the standards set by other senior classes. SOPHOMORE GLASS HISTORY In September, 1934 a class of wise students enter- ed high school assembly and assumed the dignified name of Sophomores. As we had emerged from the Freshmen state, we were glad to call some one else green
