To some the number 313 means the study hall where several hours of each day must be spentg to others, it is a gold mine of reading material. The library takes up about one third of the floor space in the study hall. Many of the students believe the magazine rack is the nicest thing in the library. There are more than twenty periodicals kept there for the students leasure and instruction. n addition to the usual, tiiere are favorites on sports, science, radio, hunting and fishing, homemaking and fashions. Each field of study has a section of books reserved for the student studying in that subject field. The use of the periodicals is made easier by the Reader's Guide, a Wilson publication, which is really a directory of all the articles appearing in current magazines. The fiction de artment is sup lied with many new volumes each September. The iiiterary Guild, a book club for teenage readers send our library a book selection once a month. A faculty librarian, Miss Mary Morrissey is in the library three periods each day, While Miss Morris- sey is in her classroom or attending to her duties in the study hall, the library is in charge of student librarians.
