Weekend In New England After months of planning and raising money, the junior class hosted the seniors at the junior-senior prom April 30. The theme of the prom was “Weekend in New England so the commons was decorated in a New England setting with a lighthouse, a bridge with a stream flowing under it and a waterfall. Michigan Road and Hot Ice provided the musical entertainment while the couples could also enjoy the movie, “Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother . Refreshments of pizza, cake, and cokes were served. Above, Alicia Dickerhoff and Max Huffman were crowned the 1977 Prom Queen and King. At left, Jeff Leckrone and Amey Tinkey were voted Duke and Duch- ess of the prom by the couples who attended. Servers pictured below left were C. Osburn, K. Gagnon, L. Wal- ters, C. Powell, K. Coplen and L. Sterk. Below, L. Crippen and her date watch the action.

Comedy Tonight Comedy Tonight was chosen as the theme of the third annual Vi- king Varieties 77 held on May 18. Gail Bornmann and Ron Kruger served as emcees of this year's show. A variety of songs, dances and skits filled the program. Last year's soap opera returned with a new title. The Vikettes did a routine to the theme from Rocky. Solos were sung by Andy Knoop, Jim Ba- zini and Tina Sander. For Girls Only held a Crazy Spring Con- cert and a group called the Hen- house Six did their rendition of In The Mood. 22
