Above, A.V. Director Ed LaMar checks over his paper work. Tippecanoe Valley’s Instructional Media Center was the site of many stu- dent activities. Students used the new facilities for study as well as pleasure. Ed LaMar (top left) was in charge of the 1MC activities. Mr. LaMar coordi- nated the functions of the library and audio-visual departments. He was also responsible for the junior high and elementary libraries. Nellie Robinson (middle left) spent hours of hard work filing, cataloging and checking in new library materials. Pat Shoemaker (bot- tom right) directed the audio-visual department. The AV center was fully equiped with a variety of audio-visual equipment. 26

The Keepers of TVHS Left to right: Mary Tucker, Sally Leininger, Sherry Smalley, and Emma Zolman worked in the kitchen to prepare hot lunches for students. Armed with sweepers and brooms the custodians’ job was to keep the beautiful new school clean. Manned with giant sweepers they worked night and day to keep all the carpeted rooms swept. Pictured above, the cooks worked hard in the new gleaming kitchen to prepare hot lunches for the 600 TVHS students. Custodians Paul Steele and Wayne Wiley are pictured at left. Business courses offered during the year were Typing I and II, clerical practice, shorthand, general business, salesman- ship, business arithmetic and Account- ing I and II. 27
