' '1'-' ' ml! w 5 mm Band Our 1947 1948 band started off w1th a blg bang w1th eleven new members and two sets of muslc books Our band has accompllshed much 1n the last three years of Wh1Ch we are very proud The County Fest1val was held on Apr1l 23 at T C S at whlch the thxrty f1Ve members were proud to show off thexr blue and gold capes and hats They played three numbers Class Formatlon by Evens Vlllage Chapel by R1bble and Flyer by Weber On March Z the band went to Owego Free Academy to hear the Sa1denberg Symphony Orchestra Imo Barne s Chorus Our chorus at the beg1nn1ng of th1s school term cons1sted of thxrty glrls but when we started our operetta pract1ce there were twenty s1x glrls and twenty fxve boys Our Chr1stmas program was known as a Chr1stmas Pageant We sang most of the Chrlstrnas hyrnns Lrno Barnes sang O Holy N1ght and Sh1r1ey jennnmgs sang The B1rthday of a Kmg We had the County Festwal at our school on Apr11 Z3 1948 Our school sang Mormng Oh' Dry the Gl1sten1ng Tear The Plrates of Penzance was g1ven by some of the members of the junlor Hlgh School It was a real success Our chorus has been successful under the 1nstruct1on of Mlss M Monette Martln Connle Elccle ston ,. ff' 'lv F395 f' J Yr rx 'l flh- A . -.., M.
