Below: Sophomore Jim Tworek shows grim concentration executing a fine backhand against an Oaklawn Competitor TENNIS What can I say guys? quipped Coach Dean Schultz, following a rather disappoint- ing tennis season. But don't expect this kind of perform- ance in the future. With all but one of their top players returning, things are looking up. The only player who Won't be back is senior Rick Bailey. Bob Mc- Nichols, the squad's most valuable player, Will be com- ing back. Other top returning players are Tom DeJan, Jim Tworek, and Tom Rayson. With continued heavy turn- outs of freshmen in future years, added to the return of all but one of the top players, the Word for next season will be NoW. Frosh-Soph. The Titans had a conference record of 11-3 which was good for first place, an honor which the sophomores hadn't merited in years. The team way backed by Chet Aiken's superior pitch- ing abilityg Bob compiled a 6-0 conference. The hitting at- tack Was led by Aikens C3383 and Paul Schiefelbein 13261. The hitting attack was also helped by Dick Carter C17 RBI'sJ, closely followed by Mike Troy with 15.

GIRLS SO FTBALL This is the first season for the Girl's In- terscholastic Softball team. The team's rec- ord was 4-5, placing it in a tie for third place in the conference. Prospects are great for next year as 15 of the 16 players this year will be returning. Highlights include a 21-20 come-from- behind victory over Oak Forest, and errorless game against Crete-Monee, which Tinley Park Won by a score of 15-2. 3.11 Front Row: Allison Triplett, Mary Rady Cindy Janotta, Judy Johnson, Kay German. Left: Joann Vassrner leads off the show with a pike . GIRLS GYMNASTICS The Gal-Actic Gymnastics Club held their show The Time of Your Life May 23 and 24. The show was a variety of music and costumes, plus the talent of the girls which made the show a great success according to the many comments made by the audience.
