musical department with such widespread talent and diversity as Timpview claimed? “Impossible!” Sir Talon decided. Then he listened to the many chorus classes and the Jazz Band at the school and he was impressed. Even the training choirs were filled with beautiful voices and great abilities. The Jazz Band boasted a Second Place in the open competition at San Francisco. They were chosen to be the host band at the Utah State PTA Convention and they performed at the Family Life Conference at BYU as well as at the opening of the new Mann Theaters in Provo.
